Doaktown Primary School housing K-3 was built approximately
seventy years ago. The school is located approximately 100 km north of
Fredericton at 2 South Road. In the 1998-99 school year we serve a student
population of 88. The majority of the students are bussed from Doaktown
and surrounding communities. The Doaktown Primary School operates with
12.5 hours per week, a custodian on site 20 hours per week, a B bus driver
assisting with custodial tasks approximately 3 hours per week, a
Kindergarten Support Worker (Job Action Program), a secretary 17.5 hours
per week, and a library assistant 5 hours per week. The school, operating
within the philosophy of Inclusive Education, is committed to effective
teaching and learning.
Our Mission The mission of Doaktown Primary School is to provide a learning environment that enhances self esteem and generates a positive outlook on learning in order to have each student develop the physical, emotional, intellectual, aesthetic and social attributes, needed to be a life long learner, to achieve personal fulfillment and to contribute to a productive just and democratic society.
