INITIATIVES / STRATEGIES:
To Reach Goal 1:
Action: Integrate Technology Into the Curriculum
a) To provide a Smartboard for every classroom so that all students will benefit from the most recent technology and be exposed to multiple instructions by 2011.
b) To revive the school website so that new families, new teachers, the school community as well as the community at large will connect to the ongoing life and events of the school by December 2010.
Action: Enhance Learning Environments Through Differentiated Instruction
a) To have all teachers, including all new teachers, be trained in differentiated instruction (Renzuelli Triad Enrichment Model and Challenge Boxes) by December 2010.
b) To have school-wide implementation of differentiated instruction using the Triad model so that all students will participate and showcase their projects in a school-wide celebration of learning by June 2011.
c) To begin preparations to be a model site for the Triad Enrichment Model.
Action: Improve Student Learning Through Increased Use of Data
a) Grade Level Teachers will meet and write Common Assessments. Results will be used to inform instruction and to provide remediation or enrichment as needed.
