The 2012 Minister's Excellence in Teaching Award will recognize Anglophone-Sector educators (Administrators or Teachers) for their invaluable contributions to supporting the needs of diverse learners of the 21st century.  A Minister's Excellence in Teaching Award will be awarded to one educator in each of the nine Anglphone School Districts, and presented at a ceremony in November of this year.

Congratulations to Central New Brunswick Academy and New Maryland Elementary School for being two of the three schools recognized by the KIRA awards for promoting the use of information and communications technology in the classroom.

This is a reminder that there will be no school on Friday, May 4th and Monday, May 7th for School District 18 students as teachers attend NBTA council meetings.

This year's District 18 Regional Heritage Fair is being held on Wednesday, May 2 at Marshal D'Avray Hall at UNB.  One hundred Grades 4-9 students from eight District 18 schools will set up their heritage projects to be judged and viewed by the public.  Twenty awards will be presented with the overall winner representing District 18 at the Provincial Heritage Showcase in June.  In addition, students will attend workshops, community organizations will have displays, and entertainers will be presenting in th
