Educational Assistants make a significant contribution to the overall education of our exceptional students. Duties of an EA include attending to the physical needs of students such as moving students within the school, assisting with feeding, clothing, toileting etc. and providing academic support under the supervision/direction of the classroom teacher.
What are the qualifications I need to be a Educational Assistant?
Becoming an Educational Assistant requires a high school diploma and completion of an approved training course. Individuals wishing to become Educational Assistants must also have experience (or demonstrated ability) in dealing with children.
How do I apply for the Casual Educational Assistant List?
Application packages are available from District Office (1135 Prospect Street, Fredericton) or online. Try doing a search for the term "Educational Assistant". All forms must be completed and returned to Human Resources along with a copy of your criminal record check.
