As a Substitute teacher/ Casual replacement, how do I get paid?

Posted in

When called to go to a school, ensure that you pick up a time sheet from the school office.  The time sheet is approved by the principal or designate.

The pay schedule is outlined on the reverse of the time sheets.  The pay period is indicated with the due date for which the time sheet must be received in Payroll.

If your time sheet is submitted after the due date, it will be considered late and may not be paid until  the next pay date.  Please Note: there is a lapse of approximately three weeks from the due date and the pay date.

Direct deposit is mandatory for all employees and pays are deposited on a bi-weekly basis according to the pay schedule.  A Notice of Deposit will be sent to your home for the periods worked.  When changing bank accounts for your direct deposit, Payroll must be notified at least three weeks prior to the date for which the payroll deposit is to be changed.  In such instances, a new Direct Deposit form must be completed and forwarded to the Payroll Department.  You are advised not to close the current bank account until after you have received a deposit in the new account.
